Male hair loss is caused by genetic factors; as well as the male hormone - Testosterone - and it is a type of hair loss that progresses widely from the hairline to the top of the head.

The causes of male hair loss can be divided into: genetic factors and hormonal factors. They appear as M-shaped, O-shaped, and U-shaped type of hair loss.

The hormone that directly causes hair loss is known as dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
